Tutorial request

Hi, I’d love an in depth tutorial around how to record tracks out into Logic, MIDI track export quirks and simply in general how to incorporate tracks into a song. Also simply having a complete song length arrangement put together … it gets quite difficult once you start getting a song of any length and aren’t just repeating one progression.

I know there are simple drag and drop features and audio track and MIDIA file exporting but it’s not as simple as I was expecting and I’ve gotten a lot of weird results while both exporting audio tracks, midi files and dragging and dropping.

I’ve come up with quite a conversion cumbersome and time consuming way of doing it but feel I’m probably making it more complicated than is possible.

So a tutorial would be really helpful I’m sure for all scaler 3 users. Thanks!

After 3.1 I am going to do and we are also asking artists to do ‘Creating an Entire Track in Scaler 3’ which will demonstrate these methods. For now this is useful

Thanks so much for the link, it was useful to watch that again now that I’m more familiar with Scaler. And by the way I’m absolutely loving version 3. It’s so musically satisfying and useful in a really creative way. It’s brilliant.

And sorry for all the typos in my initial comment … I was pressed for time …

I have found ways of getting tracks out into logic but just don’t really know if I’m doing it the most efficient way … muting tracks, turning off effects if necessary in the arrange page, drawing a blank region in logic on the scaler instrument track and then bouncing in place to create an audio file/region. :man_shrugging:t2:

I appreciate there is the export function for both audio and MIDI but I’ve gotten some strange results doing that for some reason so worked out my alternate method as described above.

Also when I drag out my basic piano part which is 8 bars long it ends up pasting a 9 bar pattern quite dissimilar to the original with an odd chord for that 9th bar. Baffling user error?

Anyway looking forward to your tutorial though no rush of course. Scaler is incorporated into my starting template for all new songs and I’ve gotten simply fantastic results in my current new track. It’s wonderful!

There’s a few known issues with MIDI Capture/Drag and Drop which are rectified and expected in Scaler 3.1 due soon.
