Inconsistent MIDI output

I am getting different MIDI output depending on what I am doing.

I have a simple chord progression in the main track.
It plays fine in the plugin.

Any other way I do it, I get wrong output. (missing notes, wrong notes)
If I record it to another track through internal MIDI routing, I get a different output.
If I drag the chords and drop them in another track, I get yet a different output.
If I use the MIDI export within Scaler 3, I get still another output.

I think you’re getting something similar to my issue as well

I have had one time midi output and now nothing anymore…

I have the same problem when exporting midi.

Ok all we have figured these two cases as not behaving correctly! Everything else should be working as expected. Please let me know if you have any other issues with Drag and Drop outside of these two:

  • Drag and Drop Main Track with Global Motion ON exports incorrect notes
  • Drag and Drop 1/2 bar chord progression from Main Track exports incorrect lengths

Thank you!

Wonderful news. I will not be downloading the first update and giving a while for things to settle a bit. Most things are working for me and I don’t want to just contribute to the noise.

Here is a screen recording demonstrating my issue. I’m using scaler 3 as a midi fx plugin, but it does the same thing on it’s own. There is a world of difference between what scaler plays, vs the midi I drag out. scaler is turned off when playing the midi back.

I feel like I must be doing something wrong?

Welcome @synthetik
See the posts above! Have merged your thread here.

I have found a workaround- if you go to the arrange view and add a track under the Main Track and then apply the performance to that and drag that out of Scaler, then it gives the correct notes and length. So far seems to work.
