Is there any plans for more extensive midi mapping of parameters for Scaler 3? I make tracks live in realtime with Ableton 12 and it would be nice if I could map parameters like motions and Variations to Abletons Macros. Also, Please please please for the love of muppets add a setting that syncs the key to whatever key Ableton is set to. You have no idea how much easier my performance would be with this one simple feature.

Hi @douglas_h We are collecting feedback from our live performers to see how Scaler 3 is being utilised in live situation and what our users want. Extensive MIDI mapping is the way forward. We already have a few parameters exposed so we will see this all improved over the year. Not sure syncing to a key of a DAW is possible given each DAW responds in a different way and doesn’t externalise this info.

Thats good to hear. I only care about syncing to the Key in Ableton 12 or higher, which should be very very exceedingly easy to do. They’ve teed it up for you all you have to do is knock it out of the park.
I noticed the two parameters you gave access to and they are helpful for live performance. I can turn Motions on or off and move between bind zones. Keep the mappings coming.

Agree big time on the preset midi mapping. more midi mapping abilities the better

midi mapping the adsr and filter cutoff would be bare minimum i would say, especially if you want to use this with ableton, or any live jamming setup, you would for sure want to control those parameters

Mapping to cc/buttons on a controller is still not possible right?

While a general midi-learn feature for mapping anything to midi controllers would be ideal, here are the tings I would like to see prioritised, adding a lot of improvement to using Scaler 3 live:
Midi panic button
Key lock toggle on/off
Key lock mode select (one message per mode, making it possible to go freely from any one to any other)
Chord selection (for instance to pads on a a controller as alternative to the black keys)
Hi @Rolandski Welcome to the community and thanks for the feedback. We are working with some ‘partners’ for potential custom mapping templates for certain controllers. That will be the time to integrate midi mapping too.

Thanks, that would be great, please do keep in mind the key lock switch toggle and mode changes - they would be really valuable in live setting!
