Absolutely loving Scaler 3, thanks a bunch for the awesome update. Especially the arranger has enormous potential for live setups.
Will there be any midi mapping options in the future? Hooking up parameters like global midi note control to modulation wheels or even aftertouch and pressure on my seaboard would be an absolute dream for semi generative live performances.
On that topic, having the option to automatically add or replace current main track loops with chords recorded with midi-detect would be amazing as well for that kind of setup.
Hi @JanTerlouwJunior Thanks for the good vibes. Always appreciated, there are already some MIDI parameters exposed but will expand this in the future. if you have anything specific you would like mapped please let me know in the feature request section. Enjoy S3!
Me too, I’d really like to see MIDI mapping to all (or almost) parameters that can be tweaked by knobs or faders. I’m using several MIDI controllers and love it, very tactile.
Hi @davide, great work on Scaler 3! I’m really enjoying it. The initial volume of the Felt Piano is very low compared to the defaults of many of my synth VSTs like Diva or Pigments, so I actually though I might map the master volume of in the Mixer of Scaler 3 to one of the knobs on my Novation Launchkey.
But when I tried this in Ableton, it turned out this parameter can’t be mapped. I think adding this one would make a lot of sense. Also being able to map the “division resolution” on the Arrange Page would speed things up (I nearly always need to change it to 1/4 or 1/8).
Of course, also if both of these could be set to a different default, that would also be great!
Hey @Rudmer Welcome to the forum and appreciate the good vibes and feedback. I’d like us to concentrate on MIDI mapping sometime and we are welcoming feedback from our live performers which is starting to come through now. Feedback noted!
