We’re happy to let you know that Scaler 3 licenses now allow up to 5 activations.
All existing users have automatically had their activation limit increased – you can view your available activations in the My Products section of your Scaler Music account.
We’re also working on adding the ability for users to self-manage their activations. This feature will be included in an upcoming update.
Need more than 5 activations in the meantime? Please log a support ticket.

If you read the post it indicates they are working to add the ability to self-manage activations = thus it won’t be a situation where you use 5 and you can’t install it again as long as you deactivate unused seats.
The increase to 5 seems like a nice stop gap so they don’t have to deal with as many support requests as people surpass the previous “only 3 computers” limitation.
