Scaler 3 activation transfer

Hi! I’ve just bought Scaler 3 and this is my first Scaler Music product. I see that there are 3 activations available. In the legal part of the manual the wording is

The Licensee may install the Software concurrently on up to three (3) computers

Does that mean that I can uninstall or transfer license activations from one computer to another? For example, if I loose my laptop or I need to reinstall windows, will I need to purchase Scaler 3 again if I used all three activations by that point? Or does concurrency in this case mean that I can install Scaler 3 on three computers and if I try to install it on a fourth one, one of the first three will automatically be deactivated?

It’s not clear what the situation here is since I’m planning on using Scaler 3 to write music on my desktop PC and two laptops (one travel laptop and one for performing live). If any of these systems require a windows reinstall or be lost/damaged beyond repair, will I have to purchase a new license?

Thank you!

Yes I have the same question. I need to be able to manually reasign licences because i have frequent PC rebuilds. Although generally i will only need on 1 (or maybe 2) computers at any one time. if there are only 3 lifetime activations then i will need to get a refund as i will be through those in a month or two. :grimacing: I have a ticket in with support

I have the same issue as scaj - I do occasional rebuilds and and sometimes experimental builds, and need to be able to deactivate activations or treat an activation as temporary.

Hi All please don’t worry. We will introduce a system that allows you to deactivate and transfer your licences. In the meantime if you have any issues raise a ticket with support over at scalermusic.com and request more activations. No issues.

Hi Davide, any timeline on this? I’m stuck in the same situation and can no longer use Scaler3. Support seems to be slow, or unable to solve this as a ticket right now.
