I noticed was that there was no standalone shortcut created.
This is the Windows version.
I added my own by finding the exe:
C:\Program Files\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\Scaler 3.exe
then sending a shortcut to the desktop.

Yes, but we’re talking about a shortcut on the desktop.
Agreed, it’s not a high priority for fixing, but I thought I would post anything I found which appears to be a bug. Hence my other posts about VST plugin scanning not working correctly, and a lack of ASIO options in the standalone app.
I have just noticed that a Scaler 3 Support forum has been created, so maybe these “bug” related posts should be moved there?
