today, I updated Scaler3 to version 1.0.5, but the standalone program still crashes on startup…
M1 Max, Logic Pro Version 11.1.2, and macOS Sequoia version 15.3.2.
The AU plugin version can be launched normally in Logic, and the AAX plugin version can be launched normally in Pro Tools (v2024.10.2). I haven’t installed the VST2/3 version (since I don’t use other DAWs). I hope that in the next version, the standalone program can be launched normally…
I read this post. By following what you said and deleting all the files under the three paths, the standalone program can start normally now! Thank you!
I hope this solution can be seen by more people, or a video tutorial can be recorded to teach people how to find these paths. You forgot to mention Cmd+Shift+G.
Hi all, I’m using Scaler 3 on macOS 15.3.1.
The standalone version was working fine before, but now it has stopped working. The application launches, but as soon as I move the mouse over it, the cursor starts spinning and nothing can be clicked.
I tried reinstalling it, but that didn’t help.
Any ideas? Thanks!
The first path is accessible by going to the “Go” menu of the Finder by holding down the “option” key, the user’s Library folder will appear (it is hidden by default). The other path is directly accessible, by browsing the Macintosh HD/Users/Shared/
I hope these simple explanations will be useful to you
The title above says it all. Worked fine for days, no issues. Now loads for about 2sec, then quits. Using S3 as a VST plug in to DAW seems stable…only quits in standalone version. Tried restarting Win10, no change. No changes made to system or any internal settings.
Thanks for this. Actually, just deleting the … AppData\Roaming\Scaler3\Scaler 3.settings file worked for me in Win10. No need to delete everything else and do a clean re-install. YMMV.
