Can anybody help. Scaler 3.1 stand-alone and the Scaler 3.1 Plugin within the Reaper DAW opens for a few Seconds and closes down. Any solutions for this problem? When I first got Scaler 3 it did stay open. Now when Scaler opens the Hourglass shows for a 5-10 seconds and then it closes down. (Windows 10)
Hi @PeterKHewer when Scaler 3 standalone crashes on open it is usually on account of the standalone state file. Can you please try deleting this file and seeing if standalone opens without issue:
C:\Users[NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Scaler 3\ Scaler 3.settings

Strange that the Scaler 3 plugin is doing the same thing as this is not common but please let us know if there is any change in behaviour after deleting the standalone state file mentioned above.

I deleted as per the "Clean Install"instructions–if the files existed. I uninstalled Scaler 2 and Scaler 3 and did a clean install of Scaler 3. Now the Scaler 3 VSTi is stable but the Stand-Alone still crashes. I look forward to the next update.. But thanks again. I now can use Scaler 3 at least within Reaper and a saved a file in Reaper that has Scaler3 having Omnishere as its sound source.

I had this known issue of conflit between plugin and standalone versions. You don’t have to unistall Scaler 2. The solution to this problem “temporary” until the problem apear again is:
Windows - Cleanup:
Delete the standalone state file: C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\Scaler 3.settings
Delete the personalized files: C:\Program Files\Scaler Music\Scaler 3
Reinstall the application.
Also don’t bother to unistall the application the conventional way.

I downloaded and did a clean install of Scaler 3.1.1. but still the Stand-alone version opens with the hourglass and quickly shuts down. I have Windows 10.
