I can not find it again?
I want to make a song. How do I save the song for another day? And work on a different song, and next day go back and open the first song again to work on it again?
Just save the Preset and you are good to go!
In standalone. I saved the preset to a different folder on the pc, and that did not work, so maybe I must save it only in C:\ProgramData\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\Presets\User
Hi @MortenKalland. Yep - at the moment it’s recommended to save presets to the default location. We’re currently working on improvements to the preset save/load path system, which will be part of a future update. In the meantime, saving to the default location ensures your presets are reliably recognised by Scaler 3 and avoids any potential issues with custom paths. Cheers.
Glad this will be improved. Use of custom paths should be expected. I can’t speak for others but the Scaler default path is not among my backup locations.
What is the purpose of Scaler Output Files? Talking about when you click the icon that appears to the right of the session name, which opens up a window to create an s3p output file on your hard drive. I do this but Scaler can never open any of them back up. And Sacler also does not seem to have a way to navigate to these files on your hard drives, so one must find them and double-click them first. When I do that it opens Scaler but just displays the chords that were there when I last closed it.
So basically wondering how one saves projects to a local hard drive and then opens them again, and what the purpose of these s3p files are.
Thank you.
Ok, I see that if I select the default Users folder when.outputting files it puts it there, and then it shows up the Users section of the Press menu, and from there I can load them correctly. But loading them does not work if I save the output files elsewhere, for instance on my desktop. Nor is there a way to even try to open them from within Scaler as there is no way to navigate to them in the Presets menu, and no general file menu. Or am I missing something?
I then tried to copy them in the file system to the User folder for Scaler. Then I can open them using the normal Presets menu within Scaler. So I guess the question is why have the option to save these files elsewhere in Sacler besides the User folder if they will not open in Scaler when double-clicking them and there is no way to navigate to them in the Scaler interface to open them? (I realize the answer to the first question may be that it is a bug).
Hi @Defender, hopefully my post above clears things up. Cheers.
