How can Import a previous song I created?

I’m really annoyed at myself for asking this question but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to import a previous song I created and exported on scaler 3?
I could load audio files saved before the update and they would appear as the full song all track and edit states intact,
I am using scaler 3 as a standalone DAW.

Ive got all of these songs exported from Scaler 3 (audio) and literally can’t import any of it to re-edit within Scaler 3?

What am I missing?

Hi @dbeggz Have you created a preset on one machine and trying to load it to another? In that case you need to move the file to the designated user folder that Scaler 3 stores its presets too. You can find that by hitting the ‘Save’ icon. Once you have done that it will appear in the preset browser within Scaler 3. We do have a note to add ‘Import Preset’ to the browser window which is probably what you were looking for! Hope that all makes sense!

Ahhh maybe that’s the problem as I was saving it to a custom folder.

I’ll try that when I get home Thankyou :folded_hands:

Ok so it’s not working.

I only have one MacBook now using the new updated scaler 3.

I have a ton of files I’ve exported as audio (wav) and moved them all to the scaler user folder and the preset and the chord folder just in case.

When I drag and drop the audio files into scaler 3 , you see the wheel going round and nothing generates and the track remains blank.

On the previous version I never had this problem and wav files would auto populate on the arrangement tab. With all my edits and tracks etc.

I can’t retrieve anything now and I don’t understand why it’s so complicated to save a song and state and then reimport it? To continue editing

I’m sorry to be such a beginner but how do you exactly save a song and then reimport it for further editing ?

Surely I don’t separate DAW ?

Hi @dbeggz Seems there’s some confusion going on here. When you save something as audio you are saving the final song in a baked audio file for auditioning. This is not a data file. You just need to save the preset if you want to save the song to work on later. When you hover over preset you will see a ‘Disk’ icon. Click that and it will save the correct location. Then you can just reload it in any session. This just operates like any other program.

Thankyou for your response Davide :folded_hands:
That definitely makes sense.
and I thought that as much.
How do I save it as a preset?
Theres no save button?

Jeez
I thought photoshop was difficult back in the day. Atleast if you saved something you could retrieve it

Hi @dbeggz if you move your mouse curser near the current preset name in the header, you will see the save preset icon appear. Click this button to save the current session as a preset.
