There is a registartion code from Scaler that you get when you redeem it and that is what you use for the VST - NOT the Plugin Boutique code - that is just for the redeem.

But all attempts have still failed! Today they issued a new serial number but didnāt give me any activations. They suggest I connect to another network, use a mobile network, use a VPN. I donāt have those options⦠Their protection mechanism is so good that theyāve protected themselves from ever getting further purchases by me. Tomorrow afternoon Iām bringing PayPal into it and they can deal with Plugin Boutique instead because I('m tired of their endless excuses when they should be honouring their 14 day money back guarantee.
Hi @trevh1 Sorry to hear your frustrations. The user you were replying to did resolve this and it was due to a firewall/security issue on his end.
We need to be able to communicate back to a server to verify your licence. Most software companies do. Unfortunately we canāt do anything about users specific setups protecting against these handshakes required. Please try and deactivate any firewall or security measures on your machine and if you can follow the instructions provided to you. Itās not nice to see people frustrated.

Iāve had 6 previous attempts and the software message is cannot connect to the server, but it must have done so to use up the activations which were reset via the help desk. So now if I understand you correctly, after bringing in this change in the registration process and compounding the problem with limited activations, youāre now blaming me as a customer for using the same set up which always worked in the past with Scaler 1 & 2? Sorry but itās Scaler that changed itās setup policy without saying anything about it in the video promotion. Installing the new version should not entail turning off any basic security to accommodate Scalerās problematic installation/registration process, I donāt do that with other software and I didnāt do it with Scaler 1 & 2. Iām at the stage where I just want my money back now from Plugin Boutique, Iāve wasted so much time following advice from Scaler Musicās help desk and Elliot at Plugin Boutiqueās help desk is simply fobbing me off after initially promising a refund if I couldnāt get it to work. So Iām getting in touch with PayPal to get them to intervene, Iāve spent too much time on this. Scaler Music issued a new serial number yesterday but didnāt reset the activations, so that was a pointless waste of time too. Today they said we hope the refund goes well, in other words they help any further.
