Track based performance vs Chord based

Hello,
In scaler 2 I used to find a chord progressions that fits my mood, then edit and tweaking performance for each chord in the progression. This way I was able to build melodies (like starting with a strum, than adding a motif, an arpeggio on the next chord, and the motif on the next one). When I was happy with the result, I simply drag the midi on my DAW, and tweak more inside the VST. Now, in scaler 3 , I feel that this is not possible anymore. I have to create tracks for every type perfomance, than drag every single piece of midi to the track in my DAW to get the complete phrase. Am I missing something? Is this the intended workflow? I feel It’s way too complicated than the previous version, but maybe someone could help me figure out a better way to achieve what I want! Thank you

You can still edit individual chords in a progression, using the controls on the left side window on the arrange page. You can change motions, inversions, octaves, density, etc. You can also edit midi. And you can then drag an entire edited track into your DAW - or you can drag the entire multi-track composition from Scaler 3 into your DAW.

It’s true that the current construction constrains your ability to put different performance types on the same track. For example, in the Arrange Page, you can’t put an arpeggio on a track that you’ve designated for rhythms. However, there are workarounds.

For example, you can use the Sketch Pad on the Create Page as a workaround: Set up the same progression on each of the 7 lines in the Sketch Pad, assign different motions to each progression, then drag and drop individual chords (or any combination of chords) into the Main Track. The Main Track will then maintain all the combined individual motions. When you’re done, you can then drag the Main Track into your DAW.

I was missing that S2 functionality also. I think the Sketch Pad could be a work around, but why should a work around be neccessary on a “new and improved” version of Scaler. It seems far less intuitive and much more complicated with the new system.
