I want Scaler to start playing at measure 53.
I have 4 chords; C maj, A# maj, F maj, G maj
The position indicator shows 53.1
When I hit play in Studio, playback starts at the F maj chord, not the C maj and the position indicator says 5.1
Scaler 3 plays, incorrectly as detailed above, no matter where the playback head is, i.e. I can start playing at measure 27 but Scaler 3 will play. I have a Scaler midi event at 53. Why does out always play back.
Hi @joebataz. Thanks for your post – and apologies for the very delayed reply. As you may know, we’ve made several updates since launch. I’m curious whether the sync issue you described still occurs in Studio One after updating to Scaler 3.1. Let us know if it’s still happening and we’ll look into it further. Cheers
Bummed! Issue still occurs even after updating to Scaler 3.1. No matter where I put the midi event for Scaler 3.1, it starts playing as soon as I start the composition.i.e. If I put the event at measure 8 Scaler starts playing at measure 1. Is there any hope of this being fixed?Or am I doing something wrong?

Hi Joe, thanks for getting back to me. Just to check – do you currently have DAW Sync enabled in Scaler 3, with an active loop region on the Arrange page?
When both are active, the bar at which Scaler begins playback is relative to your DAW’s playback position, not the placement of MIDI events.
You can find a detailed explanation of this behaviour in the Scaler 3 User Guide (Header Section > Transport Controls – page 28).
TL;DR: Try disabling DAW Sync (right-click the Play button to toggle it on or off) and/or turning off the loop region to see if the playback behaviour changes to what you expect.
ODD, I am on Studio One Pro v7.2.1 on a PC Win 11 and do not have any such sync problem.
I drag the chords/articulation to the bar I want them to start from and that’s it.
Are you sure you’re putting your Scaler chords at the corresponding bar? Perhaps do a video screen grab to show the problem.
