I can confirm the same issue on Sequioa 15.5. Plugin shows in the list but will not load, no such issue with Serum 1
The plugin shows, in fact it shows the VST and AU versions also show (when theyāre not installed) but will not load. This occurs in standalone.
M4 Mac/15.5, Scaler 3 purchased/dowloaded today.
When I first got serum2 it didnāt work with scaler3 the forum said make sure you have the latest version of scaler3, I didnāt so I updated it and all worked great. Then a few nights ago Phase Plant stopped working in Scaler3 and thatās not good but Serum2 was still working. So I again made sure to have the latest version of scaler3 installed and that fixed the Phase Plant problmeā¦ Now Serum2 wont show up again! Iāve tried all the advice so far on this thread like checking ignore list etc. also on anothe rpage it said if not scanning plugins give permissions to the scaler folderā¦ tried that. Really pulling my hair out now as use both Phase Plant and Serum 2 a lot. Any ideas?
This is definitely an issue for me. I had to download and activate the Plugin Buddy VST to be able to use Serum 2 as an instrument in Scaler 3, because Scaler does not show Serum in my instrument list. Hoping there is a solution to this soon.
Just reporting, on Windows 10, with latest versions of Scaler3 (v3.1.1) and Serum2 (v2.0.22) both, Serum SYNTH and Serum FX, show up in Scaler and are fully functional. Nice 
Though I noticed (not necessarily Serum related), after rescanning plugins in Scaler it required restarting the PC to really update the plugin database. I didnāt have an eye on Serum in this case, but noticed it with other plugins. Mentioning it because PC reboot could potentially solve issues with Serum, too.
Will probably report/ask about it elsewhere.
Ok lol, incidentally later on yesterday the Scaler update to v3.1.2 was released.
Installed and rescanned plugins (was necessary, had new plugins), now itās back to where it was before lol, Serum2 is only available as an FX, not as instrument anymore.
Restarting the PC didnāt fix it.
Iāll post a bug report.
We are aware of this and think we have found a solution. Itās on our list to address with 3.2 due Q4!

Yup, my Serum 2 does not show up in Scaler 3.
This has been resolved. Make sure you have the latest version of Scaler 3 and Serum 2. If you still canāt see the Serum 2 VST3, please trash the āPlugins Cacheā and āPlugins Logā in your Scaler Music folder (located in your user library). Then rescan your plugins in Scaler 3 either via the settings menu or by running the installer!
