Scaler 3 Standalone - No midi out? [Implemented in Scaler 3.2]

I would like to put that request out there myself, as my hardware has a sequencer, i just need the chord progressions and all will be good in the world. Otherwise i have no reason for standalone unfortunately…

Welcome to the forum @xenobii2k

Standalone MID Out in our next major update 3.2. We’re expecting it late October / early November.

Hello,

Can Scaler 3 send MIDI to hardware synthesizers in standalone mode? I am using a MIDI keyboard to trigger chords in Scaler, and can see the keys activating on the keyboard on Scaler’s screen, and am wondering if there is a way to make those chords trigger the hardware synth. In other words, can the standalone version send Midi out? I see and set up the MIDI keyboard in the settings Midi In preference, but not seeing a MIDI out preference.

Thank you,

Kurt

Anyone know the answer to this?

The standalone has no MIDI out so, no, you can’t do that. It will probably get added in a future update. In the meantime you can host the plugin in a DAW and route to external synths that way.

Thanks for the confirmation. Hopefully it is added as it can be very convenient to just use the Standalone version.

I want to use software which is not available as vst or au. So please give us the midi out option in standalone mode.

I 2nd this. That was the whole reason I bought it. I thought Standalone mode would have MIDIout as well so that I can just jam with my Fantom and record it on the sequencer onboard…

Hi all,

Scaler 3.2, either in standalone or plugin form, allows MIDI to be sent from every track in the Arrange Page directly to any external MIDI device.

Download the 3.2 installers from Plugin Boutique (under My Account) or from Scaler Music (under My Products).

You can check out the complete changelog and a video covering the new features here.

Hope you enjoy!
