I’m on Win 10. Not sure why it looks so different.
Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed? Without I don’t get the option
No, but I have Omnipage Ultimate that uses Power PDF
In the PC of my wife instead, I see Save as PDF and she has Adobe Acrobat reader indeed, but I don’t have it
Nevertheless, I think to remember that Foxit Reader also has a virtual printer that can be used
And Microsoft can be another option
You can buy printer ink cheap, and a syringe, just refill them there are youtube tutorials
I really second this request.
There has been a scaler pdf for 2.9. Perfectly readable.
I get it, you want something that looks like scaler on the screen in corporate colors.
Pretty-please give us one in neutral design. Black letters on white pages.
Thank you very much.
Ah…and btw I tried to edit it in pdf-exchange editor.
It was a nightmare and I don´t have the time for that.
you could always just change your printer preset to print in black and white
Hi and thank you, but I would insist to not have to do that.
Scaler 2.9 had a very good pdf manual. Not as shiny as the 3.0 version but very helpful and printer friendly.
It had a very good sorted table of contend AND bookmarks which helps orientation and search.
BTW I found a way to delete the blue background in the 3.0 manual in pdf-exchange.
It is called replace document colors and switches it to grey.
Will make a test print and hope it is more readable on paper (and better for making actual notes).
Still, the headlines still look weird.
Hi @TheWhistler, thanks for your feedback.
We’re currently exploring the possibility of an HTML version of the Scaler 3 user guide, which would allow users to override the blue background and set the text to black. This would also allow for language translation. We’re hoping it might be ready in time for the 3.1 update, but we can’t guarantee that just yet. If not in 3.1, then hopefully in a future update.
Just to better understand: could you let us know how the Table of Contents in the Scaler 3 user guides differs from the one in Scaler 2? Also, when you mention “bookmarks,” are you referring to the interactive PDF bookmarks used for navigation in PDF readers? I’ve checked the files on Preview for Mac and couldn’t spot a difference, so any detail you can share would be great. Feel free to upload images if that helps.
Also curious – when you say the headlines still look weird, could you clarify what you mean? Are you referring to the section headers at the top of each page where the navigation path and page number are shown—for example, Browse Page > Overview 28?
By the way, the current user guide–bundled with the latest version of Scaler 3 and also available via your Scaler Music account–has been updated since version 1.0.0.
Cheers.
Doesn’t work for all printers …
Hello and sorry for my lag in answering. Simply did not have the time.
Weird might not be the best term to describe. It´s to dark to read the headlines.
As the grey background would be ok to print though.
I would really appreciate if you would consider making a manual that is good to print (and readable when printed).
I Might not be the only one.
Scaler 2.9 manual
Scaler 3 manual
I really like bookmarks a lot. Scaler is deep and these help to stay sorted.
Hi all. We’ve created a Print Version of the Scaler 3 User Guide.
You might want to bookmark the Scaler Music – Documents & Resources topic so you can quickly find the Print Version and other helpful materials. Cheers.
Thanks for your feedback – we appreciate it.
Firstly, as mentioned above, we’ve created a print-friendly version of the Scaler 3 User Guide. Hope you find it useful.
Regarding bookmarks: I’ve tested the PDF and bookmarks are properly embedded and display correctly in Adobe Acrobat Reader on macOS. So I’m not entirely sure why you’re seeing a difference between the Scaler 2 and Scaler 3 manuals in your current PDF reader. Cheers.
