hello,
I downloaded the manual of scaler 3.
The background of all pages is blue, which means that if you print the manual, you empty your ink cartridge
Isn’t that stupid???

Hi, where did you find the manual to download?
I’m looking everywhere on the website and can’t find it!

On Windows it installs to:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Scaler Music\Scaler 3\Scaler 3 User Guide.pdf

Hi, on Scaler site, on your “My Product” page beside PC/Mac installer button.

I’m just too blind

Hi @ tealtonerick and @ darrylarthur.

Thanks for your feedback regarding the Scaler 3 User Guide. Admittedly we did not consider those wanting to print the manual and how that’d be a costly exercise given the blue background! Apologies for the oversight.

We’ll consider creating a ‘print friendly’ version in the future, but in the meantime, hopefully you can use the guide digitally in conjunction with our Official Tutorials. We’ll be adding new videos to the playlist soon, to help you get the most out of Scaler 3.

Thanks.

Have you ever noted that if you view a PDF in your browser, you can deselect the Print background option?

I usually do that to make prints smaller, but it should fix your issue

If you view that PDF in your browser, you can deselect the Print background option, so the blue should go away…

On Safari I can’t find this option.
Moreover I risk getting white letters on a white background!!!

more or less like in the SC2 GUI

That’s a good idea, but I don’t see that option in my browser? What are you using?

Yes Thanks. I keep printed manuals on everything I have in my studio. Way more convenient than the electronic copy.

Chrome, but I think it is in Firefox as well

Try CTRL+P

Then go to the bottom and check if Graphic in the background is selected

If so, deselect it and the black background will become white, then hit Save

Just checked now: it works in Firefox as well

In both Chrome and Firefox, I get no check option for a graphic background. It doesn’t look like your window.

Sorry
Maybe it is a Windows only option?

Wikipedia says:

Macintosh computer also have a Control key, but it has different functionality. The original Apple mouse design reduced complexity by only offering one button. As the interface developed, were offered to access extra options. Another button was needed to access these. On Unix and Windows, the user had other mouse buttons to use. On Classic Mac OS and macOS, the Control key is used to invoke a “right-click”. Apple calls this a “secondary click” as left-handers can choose which side this button is on.

So, if you have a Mac, maybe you have to find that menu
