Scaler 3 opens then instantly closes - only way i can get it to work is by deleting the file App Data/Roaming/ Scaler3 / settings. Then it is Ok until i reboot windows and the problem returns - happens on both standalone and VST.

Iām guessing you already tried the Scaler devs recommendation of doing a clean uninstall?
The other alternative is to try a software Uninstaller like Revo Uninstaller!
I use this when I need to completely remove Scaler 3.
I uninstall using Revo Uninstaller. Tell it to scan for left over files
Reboot the PC
Install Scaler 3
Reboot PC again.
There are Youtube videos explaining how to use Revo Uninstaller!
Many thanks - yes I did do a clean install but has not made a difference. I will strip out all Scaler 3 data from the registry next time and also any app data files. Never used Revo but will take a look. Really appreciate you responding - great advice.
Hi @omnisector, it may help the support folks if you tell them exactly which version of Scaler3 you are using and which version of windows. And whether you have a license or are running demo.
Straker - thanks is is Scaler Version 1.0.7 and it is running on windows 11 Pro version 23H2 and it is a licenced version I pre ordered. I have also checked my Bitdefender Enterprise to see if that was choking it, but nothing shown. I will continue to monitor.
