Scaler 3 chords playback does not sync to audio track after chord detections from audio track

Hi, I have read the manual, watched tutorials, youtube, asked ChatGPT, Grok, etc. but could not solved the problem. Maybe the solution is simple but I could not figure out.

I am using the following configuration:

Mac mini M4, 16GB Memory, macOS Sequoia 15.6.1

Logic Pro ver 11.2.2. Scaler 3 v3.1.2.bc73de6 (all the latest versions as of today).

The chord detection from audio track works fine.

The DAW sync option (from the “Play” button) is checked (by default). I can see the time, beat, tempo, all synced with Logic Pro inside Scaler 3 audio plugin (not the Scaler 3 MIDI controller) during playback. However, each chord in the Scaler 3 main track simply plays its own fixed length of time regardless the audio track in the DAW, which is out of sync with audio for checking results.

Can anyone advise what else I am missing and I should check? Thanks!

By design.

For my workflow, this was what I hoped scaler 3.x would provide. It doesn’t.

I think this is a huge flaw and not really well mentioned anywhere.

Got it. Thanks, John!

I checked the official video again. The chord changes in official video align with each bar (by coincidence) so I thought the audio sync was implemented.

The misalignment was mainly caused by different number of chords in each bar.

Since the plugin already has the time sync info, it will be great for future versions to align chords to its corresponding bar position at minimum.

Thanks again for the help, John!
