3.2 worked but 3.3 crashes Reaper
Hi @Clarksil we’re not able to reproduce any crashes running Scaler 3.3 in Reaper v7.78. Be sure to reboot your computer after updating to Scaler 3.3.
Could you please let us know which operating system and version you are using? And are you able to run Scaler 3.3 standalone without any issue?
And when exactly does the crash occur? Does it occur after loading the Scaler 3.3 plugin into an empty Reaper project?
Hi, I’m also experiencing frequent crashes with Scaler 3.3 in REAPER v7.78
Windows 11. I don’t have the standalone version installed. The crashes occurred for me a few minutes after messing around with a scale, changing Voicings, previewing Performances and such.
The setup was Scaler as a MidiFX insert on the track, controlling Kontakt 6 with Noire loaded.

I also use WIndows 11 with Reaper 7.78. I frequently Arturia and Kontakt instruments in Scaler 3.3. Recently I had one track with Arturia Pigments, Kontakt Prime Bass on the second one, Kontakt Session Guitar - Burst Deluxe on the third one, UJAM VB Dandy on the fourth; I alternated between Jamstix and UJAM Legend drums on the fifth. Scaler 3.3. was stable all the time. The only way I was able to provoke a crash was when I tried to move a huge block of chords outsides of the visible area in Scaler, but this happened several times with the previous versions. In 3.3 it was rare because of unzooming and having Scaler 3.3 over my entire screen so I was able to add a lot of chords (about 150).
To add to what Tristan asked, can you send the log from Event Viewer for one of the crashes?
