After installing Scaler 3.2, the UI is slow to respond and none-usable for the standalone version.
The plug-in version seems to be working as designed.
The symptoms are as follows:
Slow to respond to any input - when it does respond, it is after several “minutes” of waiting
The “motions box” at the bottom left of the UI (above the keyboard display) is constantly flickering.
CPU usage is at a constant 15% (give or take) while it is operating.
The shutdown “X” in the upper right-hand corner can not be engaged to quit the application.
I have to use the “task manager” to stop it from running on my system
This occurs on two separate computer systems. At this time I find the “stand alone” version useless to operate with.
Running windows 10 - the latest version on both a tower computer and a laptop.
Hi @Syphus apologies for the slow response. For tech support you are best to submit a support ticket from your Scaler Music account where you will receive a response from the support team as quickly as possible. This forum is largely community moderated and it can be tricky to reply to everybody in a timely manner.
I don’t recall hearing other reports of what you are describing and this is not something we have experienced in Ableton Live on Windows. Was everything working well before updating to version 3.2? Assuming you are upgrading from v3.1.2, or 3.1.3?
When you say:
Do you mean you are experiencing the same slow behaviour as with the plugin in Ableton Live, or are you referring to something else?
Regardless, you should try reinstalling Scaler 3.2, then rebooting your computer. If this does not help, please perform a clean install. You can find Windows instructions for this on the known issues forum page.
Thanks for the response. I will try some of the suggestions and report back - may take a bit (holiday and such) if I don’t get any results (fixed) I will open a support ticket. I will dr4op a note here when done.
