Record with MIDI keyboard

This is probably a dumb question but when I hit record in Presonus ver 7 pro the chord sequence plays, which is not what I want. When I try to record via MIDI it doesn’t work, which wasn’t a problem with Scaler 2. I’m sure this is a mistake I’m making. Any suggestions?

HI @GlennNyhan You want to record trigger notes like you do in Scaler 2? You will need to turn DAW sync off. Right click on the play button or you can turn off DAW Sync in the Settings menu. Please watch the tutorials and potentially the Working with your DAW prerelease reveal:
