Hi:
I love Scaler 3. But I want to play it live in the chord mode and have my DAW (Logic) record the whole cords as I play them. Don’t want to arrange within Scaler just play my keyboard 1 finger chords and capture that in my DAW as a complete midi cord, bad timing and all. Have not found that yet. Possible? Thanks.
Hi @AllanG and welcome to the forum. Yes no problem, just turn off DAW sync. You can either right click on the play button or turn off DAW sync in the settings. Then you can just record the trigger notes in your DAW. Much like how we used Scaler 2.
Hi: Maybe I’m not describing it right or it’s too simple to get my drift. I want chord sync! I like playing the cords with one note from my midi keyboard. I want to be able to play those chord sync chords on my midi keyboard and then have them show up in my DAW as a chord. Now do I use Scaler 3 as a VST as I play or do I have 2 tracks and set one to Scaler 3? The reference to Scaler 2 didn’t help as I am still a beginner.
So can I get the Scaler 3 chords into my DAW just as I play them on my midi keyboard, but playing with the sync on as that gives me my 1 finger chords as I can’t play the whole chords, I want assisted chord play that I am hearing as I noodle around with midi sync but have them record into my DAW? Or do I have to record them within Scaler 3? Less desirable and more fiddling. I sure hope somebody gets what I am trying to say! Thanks
HI Allan, if you BIND a section (A,B or C) and Turn DAW Sync OFF you can record the trigger notes into your DAW. The DAW will show only the single note you recorded but Scaler 3’s chords (whilst remaining in BIND mode) will trigger.
This video is an oldie but a goodie and relevant to Scaler 3 with DAW Sync OFF. Hope that helps.
