Recording Chords into Scaler MAIN track from Chord set via MIDI

Hi,

I am a new user in the Slacer world, as my DAW is Reason.

I would like to know if it is possible to trigger chords with MIDI notes coming either straight from the MIDI keyboard or from the MIDI track of the DAW into the arrangement track.

My goal would be to be able to

A)

  1. Select/create a Chord set
  2. Lock MIDI to Chord set so I can use one note triggers
  3. Freely record my chord progression via one-note triggers into Scaler’s Main Track so the timing of my performance is taken into account
  4. Export chords as MIDI

B)

  1. Select/create a Chord set
  2. Lock MIDI to Chord set so I can use one note triggers
  3. Record my one-note trigger notes into the DAW’s sequencer
  4. Playback one-note trigger notes from the DAW’s sequencer and record it into Scaler’s Main Track
  5. Export chords as MIDI

Please let me know if this possible or this is a new feature request?

Hi @davide,

I saw that my topic has been moved to Bugs from Support. Does this mean that is should work?

If that helps, I could capture a short video showing what I am trying to achieve.

Cheers,

Sorry should have been moved to General Discussion which it is now.
Sure this is how I and I would say the majority of users use Scaler 2/3 if I understand correctly. Build your chords, come out of DAW sync and use trigger notes. There’s lots of videos online including the old Scaler 2 videos but maybe this one might help.

I have watched the video once again. It doesnt show what I am after.

My questions is how to record the triggered chords inside scaler?
