Playing directly into a new motion for a real melody played on my music keyboard

Hello,

I would like to ask if there is a way to add a ‘motion’ (my melody) that is purely played into my keyboard? I realise you could select a midi sample from Scaler 3 and it could be modified by penciling in my new melody.

Am I missing it or is there a way to play a new lane/track recording a real melody that I play while the other tracks are playing?

I know I could also record a new track in Logic upon import of the MIDI from Scaler 3.
