You are right - it is not there. ChatGPT is hallucinating (nothing new for AI).

It is rather at the top - the round red button which opens a small panel.

This is another one of those S3 implementations that made me have to use the manual. I think it’s entirely unintuitive to have the detect mode hidden behind a record button.

Scaler 2 had an unambiguous Detect button and an unambiguous Scales button. You didn’t need a manual to find them or use them. Scaler 3 should have a Detect button on section A. Detection is an important feature so hiding it away behind the transport controls is daft. I keep coming back to that thing where Davide said that the UI was designed by an outside consultancy and wondering why that consultancy didn’t do a better job.

Scaler 3 is excellent but the UI could be so much better.

I’ve said elsewhere that I agree the Detect Button UX is a fail. We are addressing that. In fact we have two solutions. Stay tuned!

Can you present these solutions to users community in order to see what they think about them and which one they prefer? Maybe a poll?

It would be useful to have feedback before the solution is implemented and avoid negative comments and start from the beginning.

I am also a newbie. I love the app but I absolutely despise the UI. Grey font on black background. Scroll bars too thin and appear only when hover over it. No ‘Light’ mode, only dark mode.As mentioned above, Capture MIDI/Detect MIDI hidden behind the red dot which universally means a ‘record’ button.The ‘Options’ button on the upper left corner is practically invisible and for my 68-year old eyes, absolutely a torture. Ditto Settings and Close buttons on the upper right corner. The whole experience becomes a tough chore and not enjoyable at all. Please guys, fix these for the sake of this old man’s eyes! Other than that, love it. Thank you for this wonderful tool.
