LOST MUSIC because SC aler 3 didn’t remember STATE when project saved and re-opened
I lost an entire track, because i exported the song, saved and closed the project (Reason 13.x), then reaklized i had not set the start and end markers where i wanted them, re-opened the project in Reason, and Scaler 3 did NOT recall it’s ENTIRE STATE. I was in the explore tab and found a chord progression i liked, and the explore section had FOCUS. But the chords that were being triggered before were FORGOTTEN. The GENRE wasa forgotten, the Mood was forgotten, the dynamic scale was forgotten. The semitone adjustment was forgotten.
Never before have i experienced a plugin where, after save and re-open, the WHOLE state of the plugin was forgotten.
Are you sure you saved the Reason file correctly? We don’t know of any issues where the state isn’t saved with sessions otherwise we couldn’t use it! Silly question but have you restarted your machine after install? Try a vanilla session of Reason with a new session of Scaler 3, change something in Scaler 3 and then save and reopen.
You could be right. Been using Reason since version 1.0. What would be the correct way to save the file, besides going up into the file menu and selecting Save? Is there another way?
I will try what you’ve suggested with rebooting.
IIn SCaler 3, the only thing i’d done, was open a fresh instance – all defaults. Navigated to the explore tab, set the focus to explore, set the genre/bright/semitones, then plunked around to find a progression i liked, and left it at that.
Also i noticed that the VST plugin (SKY) lost it’s parameters. I had tweaked the reverb level and octave of the preset it was on. After i exported the audio, saved the song, and exited Reason, i realized i had not had the left and right markers set to export the whole song, i re-opened the same file in Reason, and all the sounds coming from Scaler were in the wring octave and key/chords.
