Loading a state file created in previous versions of Scaler 3

Scaler 3.1 Standalone does not load some MIDI information on older versions of Scaler 3 Melody tracks. They show up as "Empty " in the Arrange page. Any suggestions / comments?

Hi @macx this does sound odd and not something I have heard reported before. Note that saving global presets via the preset menu is now the preferred approach compared to saving/loading state files. Would you mind sharing a state file you are having trouble with so we can try to figure out what is going wrong?

Thanks for having a look, Tristan. I have noted the changes in the recommended Scaler 3.1 project save practice from your tutorial video. I have begun to switch over from state files to preset files - thanks for reminder.

Attached is a state file I created with Scaler 3 1.0.7. Missing clips are noted as ‘Empty’ when loaded into Scaler 3.1 in my environment. I like to experiment so if there are any suggestions for me, I’d be pleased to have a look.

GMail says: Your file is larger than 25MB. It will be sent as a Google Drive link.

I also have the same problem. But it seems like it is not only related to state files. Even if i load a project in my DAW which uses scaler as a VST plugin, my melody and bass tracks are “damaged”. They are only showing “Empty” in the arranger view.

If I reinstall scaler 3 1.0.7 everything works as expected.

In the screenshot you can see that the bass track is completely empty and the arpeggio track is missing notes from the pinky up pattern.

Here´s the scaler file made with scaler 3 1.0.7:
