"Import MIDI" to Main Track doesn't adhere to timing in anyway?

Hello,

I’m a pianist/Logic Pro user, I have a progression I wrote and purchased Scaler to layer it with new voicings and patterns. When I import this MIDI track to Scaler using MIDI capture I get 1 bar blocks of each chord I used strung out next to each other but in no way follows the rhythm. In the Main track i can of course manually go in and edit every little block to the correct length but it’s takes so long and I feel like I’m doing all this work that the app is supposed to do.

If I have a MIDI track of even just the block chords of an idea but the rhythm isn’t one full bar of one chord next to the other, I need to manually slice and edit every rest and off-beat before I can even do anything?

This is the very reason that I would not buy Scaler. Music is comprised of three fundamental dimensions: pitch, duration and velocity. To make music you need to be able to work with all of these dimensions. I felt your pain virtually as I investigated it and decided Scalar was not a complete solution for me.

yup…same here…so I’ve started using cubase, capo and reaper…when/if this ‘feature” is available scaler would/will be a screamer…/s~

Agreed. This really is hard to believe let alone accept. I use Scaler much less than I planned and this is one of the big reasons.
