How can I download the new update?

I see version 3.0.5 is available at Plugin Boutique, but I can’t seem to download it.

I was wondering the same thing. I came here because Mac Updater Pro told me that v3.0.5 was available. I remembered that I was able to download from Plugin Boutique last time there was an update, and indeed, PB has 3.0.5 showing as an option in the drop down. Sadly, Scaler themselves do not appear to have received the memo :open_mouth:

I always see new updates announced first to illegal users, and even now, via my login here I can only download 3.0.1, meanwhile people who use cracked software get better service, downloading v3.0.5 (and any interim updates) while I need to bounce around between multiple sites digging and trying to find the ‘legit’ installer for 1.0.5 that I wouldn’t even know existed if it wasn’t for non-Scaler associated people telling me?

Paying customers shouldn’t have a harder time and be more ‘out of the loop’ than non-paying users. It’s low-key embarassing.

I imagine that it is because someone is passing out beta versions that were for testing.

Unless I were in the beta testing program, I sure wouldn’t be installing them. It is a good way to get malware on your computer. Personally, I have trust issues. I only install software from known sources.

The legal, invited beta testers, experienced users, run exhaustive tests with developers before any version is provided to the public. So, no illegal users can access these versions.

How can I pirate something I’ve been paying for one the day of release with every version since v1?

Fair as a general point, but not what’s happening here – PluginBoutique, for example, PUBLICLY lists 3.0.5 as ready to download. But has broken links that lead to the ScalerMusic website where it’s not hosted.

It’s not a beta, and PluginBoutique offers the 3.0.5 download – it’s just it doesn’t load nor does the ScalerMusic site. However, the ‘pirate’ download (not patched, clean installer) which I got works perfect and there is NO markings of beta on it any version info etc. And it’s since it’s publicly offered (with a broken link) from the retailers, it’s safe to assume that it is in fact the final release.

What I would like to file a complaint about is your reading comprehension, however.

I wonder where you see these “illegal users”, unless some of the beta tester unintentionally posted information, but not plugin, on a public thread in Scaler Music.

I just visited Plugin Boutique site and cannot see any mention of 3.0.5. Where do you see it?

Plugin Boutique is listing 3.0.5 for me as well. They obviously jumped the gun a bit.

OK, I see. You have Trial version for Mac. The one for WIndows is also there, but not the same build number (normal :slight_smile: )

Please keep it polite and civil. This is not the forum for making comments that users could interpret as offensive . It’s also not nice to be mentioning cracked software and to learn there is someone on our beta team that is leaking our updates. Unfortunate but we will be extra diligent from now on.
