Drag and Drop Midi Clips from Reaper into Scaler 3.2

I have been trying to drag and drop some MIDI from my tracks in Reaper 7.x into Scaler 3.2. I have not been successful thus far. In researching Via CoPilot AI it was stated that this was a know bug. However, I was unable to find it listed in the bug reports in this forum. The sources referenced were from Beta builds.

Unfortunately, no errors are trapped nor logged. When you attempt to drag a clip from Reaper you get the correct Drag//Export cursor (in Reaper) but when you drop it into the timeline or anywhere else for that matter, it simply does nothing. Permissions have been verified and both Reaper and Scaler 3.2 are running at the same (not elevated) process level.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Has anyone else

Hi @Trankonia ,

I don’t think that D&D is possible from Reaper to Scaler 3. This might be also a limitation of Reaper UI (I have no experience with othere DAWs).

However, MIDI file saved on the computer can be D&D from Windows Explorer into Scaler. See my video in Is there any way to drag a midi file into scaler 3

Yes correct. I don’t know of any DAW that allows you to drag MIDI from a track to anywhere. You can usually export a MIDI region which is what I do with Logic

This appears then to be an AI hallucination. AI is great but it can take you down a rabbit hole

Thank you both for the clarification!
