I appreciate the reply but if you know the answer to my question, could you maybe just tell me? It would have taken you the same amount of time to write. Thats a long thread and the subject is “how to download updates” not how to be notified when updates release.

Bookmarking a thread seems to me to be a fairly clunky way of discovering the existence of an update. Nearly every program I have on my computers either automatically updates itself (not necessarily a great idea for music programs, of course!) or notifies me that an update is available and gives me the option to initiate the update at a time of my choosing. Is this not possible for Scaler 3?

Hi @TimC340 It’s a tough one as you will be surprised by how many of our users do not like to be online and have something running in the background. There is something coming though which will give users a choice. Stay tuned and thanks for feedback.
Hi Davide. Thanks for the reply. Yes, I hadn’t considered the desire by some folk to keep their studio computers offline, and I do understand that. However, an option sounds good! I’ll look forward to seeing what that means in due course. Cheers.
