Carbon Electra is simply not recognized by Ableton. It is recognized by FL Studio, but loading it simply crashes FL. Seems like the binary was last updated in 2018??
The installer from Scaler only installed a VST2 plugin, no AU or VST3.
I’m using macbook air with an M1 chip and latest OS.
You should see Carbon Electra listed under the manufacturer Plugin Boutique, or try selecting All in the browser and searching for it.

That’s interesting - I just tested the Scaler Music installer and both VST2 and AU formats were installed for me. Carbon Electra is not available as VST3. You could try running the installer again, then reboot your machine, and see if that resolves the issue. Cheers.
I like Carbon Electra, but decided when Steinberg said VST2 had 2 years left to stop using VST2s. I wish they would recompile this as a VST 3. (no I don’t want to enable VST2 in Cubase….)
