Hello, I recently snagged the bundle with Scaler, Carbon Electra, Detector and EQ. All licenses loaded fine, managed to get Scaler working and all the others included in the bundle, go to load Carbon Electra as I load all my other plugins and there is no sound coming from Carbon, even with a fresh session, even rebooted my MacBook Pro running MacOS Ventura 13.7.8. It is not a routing issue as I have loaded it the same way I load all my other plugins and they perform as expected. I even went to PlugIn Boutiques site to download the demo version from that site and use the license to register it, same issue.
Hey @NelsonMD Not sure what is going on here but maybe try reinstalling or go to Plugin Manager within Logic and select Carbon Electra and Reset and Rescan collection and then reboot. That should do it, if not please give us some more detail.
Thank you for the reply, I have done all the troubleshooting I can do on my end.
Initially dowloaded from Scaler ($79 bundle)
Loaded and activated all downloads (initially just installed the AU, then reinstalled just everything from that initial download.
Rebooted laptop
Opened a fresh Logic session
Loaded Carbon Electra, No sound
Loaded a patch still no sound
Added a new track loaded another plugin, works as expected, loaded another track different synth plug-in, works as expected.
Went to Plug in Boutique directly to download their demo, and activated Carbon Electra with the same license initially purchased from Scaler, activated fine.
Rebooted laptop again, new logic session, loaded a random plugin, receive sound, added new track, loaded Carbon Electra just as I have been doing for years, no sound.
Tried to provide a screenshot of Logic’s Plug-in manager stating Carbon Electra 1.5.55 was successfully validated but I received an error “Can’t embed media items in a post”
So it’s not a routing issue if all my other plugins work as expected and only having an issue with this one.
To clarify this is your first install of Carbon Electra on your machine? Is the Oscilloscope moving in Carbon Electra when you trigger a note? And no movement on your Logic Peak Meter?
One final thing, have you tried running Logic in Rosetta? Carbon Electra is a 32bit plugin until we make Carbon Electra 2!
To open Logic in Rosetta on macOS Ventura,
close Logic Pro, then right-click its icon in the Applications folder, select “Get Info,” and check the box for “Open using Rosetta”
It’s compatible with 64bit just not native hence I suggested opening Logic in Rosetta to ‘nudge’ it. From there if that works it should open fine when launching Logic normally.
I use it in Logic all the time and haven’t seen this problem before!
