Bind to MIDI for Sketch

The Pad area in Scaler 2 had a Bind to MIDI. I don’t see that option on Scaler 3 in the new Sketch page.

Hi @lwhite2
I have here picture. Bind button light is on. Hope this help.

In Scaler 2 you right click on that button and it provides the option to Bind to a MIDI. What is the process using Scaler 3 for this action. Thx

You do same here. You push with your mouse right click button. Then your keyboard keys changed to light yellow. You see my picture.

Yes, I do I see the Binding of the chords to the keys, but I am trying to figure out how to automate selection of the 7 available progressions. The Scaler Intro videos only describe the feature but don’t show how to do it. And it’s not working as in Scaler 2 which was a right click and MIDI assignment. I can try and get a screen shot if you think it would help clarify what I’m trying to do.

Which DAW are you in. You need to expose the parameter. MIDI mapping in Ableton or Smart Controls in Logic.
If you open automation in your DAW you should see it there.

I was testing in standalone. I assumed it was similar to Scaler 2. Bad assumption. Thx

Hi @davide

I didn’t know that automate function. Now I know. Thank you!

I checked the DAW parameters and didn’t see anything obvious for switching the Sketch progressions. Can you confirm what the name is and how to use it?
