Environment: Windows 11, Scaler 3.1 Standalone
Objective: add one or more empty bars to my composition so I can develop an intro or add a verse / chorus / whatever. I didn’t find an example in the manual and struggled enough with the task so thought I’d share what worked for me. Ended up editing was similar to my DAW’s behavior.
I have a composition I am working on. I like what I’ve accomplished and so far remaining in Standalone - not relying on my Mixcraft 10 Pro Studio DAW at all.
What works for me:
- shrink the Arrange view and adjust the Main Track height so you can see the affected part of the composition
- lassoing (use the cursor) all of the tracks (Main Melody, Bass, Chord Follow, Arpeggio)
- drag the selection to a new position opening up space to add items
This works well for me so far, preserving track content.
