I loaded Arturia CS80 vst3 , got sound, Loaded Arturia PreV76 vst3FX underneath in mixer and lost sound, you have to delete the PreV76 to hear & see in the mixer meter. If t run Scaler, then keyboard lights the keys used at bottom of scaler, but no sound/meter works. If I scan Scaler for plugins and tick the VST2 box then it will play OK (I normally only use VST3), But then when you search for a new instrument you have a choice of 31 Arturia ARP2600’s or 20 UHE Divas etc. it takes ages to scroll down the list also when you rescan with VST 2 & VST 3 it takes about 5 minutes. It sometimes comes up with 183 plugins in VST3 (seems correct) but when doing both VST2 & 3 it says around 3000 odd. It only happens in the plugin in Ableton, the standalone Scaler works fine as it should. I would try and reinstall Scaler, but scared of losing the 2 software activations. Spent about 7 hours, rescan, turning off Mac, restarting Ableton, etc just not sure why it wont work using just VST3, and Why it picks up so many if you use VST2 and 3. At the moment I am using both VST2 & 3 which is a pain as needing to scroll for ages. I can’t find any mention of this anywhere, perhaps its me! I got the upgrade from plugin boutique, and they said to contact Scaler.com to sort it out as they are snowed under with tickets and said to go to Scaler.com, who say on their website that cant help unless its for a activation problem. and not for Scaler plugin brought through Plugin boutique. So it looks like I am stuck with it unless any one knows what is wrong. I have about 183 instruments and FX in each VST folder.
Hi @ando1 Welcome to the community.
I can load CS80 and PreV76 as VST2, AU, VST3 no issues. Are you running the latest updated of Arturia V Collection and FX? Please ensure you and also update to 3.0.1
You will not use further activations by reinstalling Scaler 3 and if you need more please contact support over at Scaler Music. The support team are almost up to date with the tickets!

Many thanks for the reply, All was up to date, but I got rid of Scaler 2 & 3 in the mac & reinstall Arturia FX etc. When installing scaler I ticked just VST3 only box, opened DAW, I still could not get PreV76 or EFX Refract (as used in your youtube part 1) to work still dead, but things like Arturia Bi Tron VST3 or Arturia Rev intensity VST worked. Fab filter worked this time (apart from ProR2 (got no VST version only vst3, but did not before new installs. So Rescanned plugin in Scaler & this time included VST2, but still the same FX dead, but instead of 3700 plugins found it came out 286 plugs which was a bonus. Cleared Scaler out of Mac again & THIS time when re-installing and the ‘what do you want VST/3/au’ box came up, I ticked VST & VST3 box. Now I have a choice of FX (vst/vst3) so on the dead Arturia plugs you need to select VST & Not the VST 3 as they wont work.This is the same on my other plugins like Soundtoys, you have to select the VST & not the VST3 to get it to work in Scaler. If it screws up again, I will just drop the effect into Ableton. Many thanks Davide for your time, it must be a pain dealing with us lot.
