In the Arrange Page in Scaler 3, I add a virtual instrument and save the song in Studio One 7, and close it. But when I reopen the song on my Mac, the virtual instrument is missing! What am I doing wrong?
Has this been logged as a bug? This happens in Studio One 6 also. It does not happen in Ableton.
If a Studio One song containing Scaler 3 with 3rd party instruments assigned is saved in Studio One, when that song is reopened at a later time all of the 3rd party instrument assignments are missing (an exclamation point icon appears). This is a huge problem
Hi @firstmile & @Unlistenable.
Thanks for reporting this. We’ve been able to reproduce the issue in Studio One on Mac. Doesn’t seem to be happening in Studio One on PC.
We’ve added this as a known issue and are currently investigating.
Cheers.
Hi Steven. I have had the same thing happen on 1.0.6 Windows 11 Studio One as well. FYI, I installed 1.0.7 today & closed & re-opened a project I that had started & it seems ok now
.
Hi @Whatamint, thanks for your post – I’ve updated this known issue to include investigation on Windows as well as macOS. I’m glad the 1.0.7 update seems to have resolved it for you.
@Unlistenable and @firstmile – if you’ve updated to 1.0.7, could you please let me know whether the issue is still occurring or if it’s been resolved on your end? Thanks very much.
Hi there.
Unfortunately, while using Scaler 3 as a plugin in Studio One using 1.07 (Windows 11), after detecting some chords in my project for testing, it has lost the plugin again after re-opening the project. I tested it with just the Scaler 3 app by itself & it maintained the plugin ok. So it seems it is while using it with the DAW is where the issue lies as it is ok as standalone.
For reference, I use UJam plugins quite frequently.
Dan
Thanks for your messages, @Unlistenable & @Whatamint. The additional context is helpful as we continue investigating this issue. Cheers.
