Would be nice to be able to take Chord Set (Main Track Section C) into the Colours Options

Right now you can only take in the Scale but on many occasions you may be using chords outside the scale so it’s slightly difficult to apply the different colours to those outside chords. If you could import the main track to the colours section it would make process quicker.

I came here to complain about the same thing. I’m just now trying to cozy up to Scaler 3. If you grab a curated chord set as the foundation of your new Main Track, it would be given that you’d want to experiment with it by changing voicings, inversions, try variations and substitutions and all the other great Scaler features on the Colors page. Unless I’m missing something obvious, it seems the only way to get to the Colors page is from the current scale.

The Colors Page works by applying formulas to a current scale. The Scale info is integral to that. I think we can give our users more flexibility to incorporating a little more exploration to each chords right click menu. Right Click > Voicing / Common Tones etc. You can also do some of this on the Circle of Fifths page which is not scale dependent and you can edit chord right there too. As always appreciate the feedback.

That would be fantastic. After detecting the chords selected in the Main Track, we have a scale from which we could select substitutions, voicings, inversions, variations etc. Granted, on the Arrange page we have Inversion and voicing options, but substitutions, for instance, would be terrific.
