Sync with Midi controller version of scaler

So I’m make Midi scalers on different instruments in Logic Pro - and I have on leader and the rest are followers. I see the chord progression on top in the main track - I want to have a new track for different articulations for each instrument - this works but then the chords from the main track are being played back as well - I have tried muting them - rerouting them etc. but they still keep playing - not sure what I am doing wrong - how do I fix this - I want the main track to be off and I just want the articulation to play ( yes I can use the articulation in the perform but then I can’t control the midi edit features ) - Thanks

Hi @Will123134199234925 and welcome to the forum.
You can Shift>Click the Chords or use the Mute tool to mute the Main Track chords.
If you haven’t already running through the on-board tutorial and the YouTube tutorials can help with much of the ‘under the hood’ functionality.
Hope that helps.

Hi Will and welcome!!

I’m using 1 leader and six followers in Ableton. After loading the DAW file, make sure you launch the transport (initially silent recommended) and hit cancel on each one the stack of Scaler3 popup messages warning about breaking sync with leader - cancel for all follower tracks (count the cancel clicks to make sure you got them all). Once those are all cancelled unmute audio and relaunch transport. Sometimes a straggler warning message popup will hang behind the DaW window so minimize that and double-check.

Let me know if that helps and I’d be glad to setup a phone call with you although I am on Ableton live - that fact should not matter that much as regards your questions
