Scale/Chord notes

Love the update.

What’s the best way to play along, now that we can’t link Scalers.

I’m thinking of having the main vst as the master chord track with my bassline and pads. With the melody tho I’d like to play along with my midi controller. What setup would be the best? I was thinking of loading another scaler instance that just has my chord progression. Then set it to either scale or chord notes only. I can then jam along as the timeline will sync to the correct position on the master chord scaler.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hi @Benollie Which DAW are you in? Scaler Main Track Sync is being introduced in Scaler 3.1 due in a few weeks! If I understand you correctly I mute the chords in the Main Track (Shift>Click) or turn on Mute Chords In Keys Lock in settings and then jam along with keys lock. I then setup Chord Follow tracks so I can have an accompaniment as well. Hope that helps.

Hi Davide,

I use Samplitude.

I have Scaler on one midi track. I output each scaler track to different midi channels within scaler to different tracks in Samplitude. That all works fine. Bassline to channel 1, pads to channel 2 and so on.

I’m just wanting to jam along with my midi keyboard in scale or chord notes mode with the bassline and pads. Is this possible within one instance of scaler without it affecting the other tracks within the scaler arranger?
