Hello peeps, I’m sure I’ve had this problem before but have spent 2 hours trying to get over it, but cannot figure it out!
Scaler is set for keys lock and muted chords on playback and yet my DAW plays/records the chord progression, which is unwanted. See the video, apologies for the TERRIRBLE sound, it’s on my laptop.
Win11 latest Scaler 3
Hmm, seems like the audio is muted but the MIDI is not? Try Shift>Clicking the chords to mute the MIDI output and see if that works…
Hey there @davide
EDITED
1/ I’ve just tried the same setup on my desktop, had no problems at all
2/ prior to using Studio One on my laptop, I had been messing with the stand-alone version, but it was closed when I opened Studio One.
3/ when I kept trying new projects in Studio One, adding a fresh instance of Scaler, I did notice that the fresh Scaler opened with the same chord progression I had been using previously… which means it somehow was not “forgetting” or refreshing properly
4/ I have also noticed that despite choosing to mute chords and clicking to make that default, that when I later open scaler and check that setting, mute chords is OFF again! This happens with the same instance of Scaler I had already set to MUTE… so there is something off with scaler on my laptop.
Taking your advice, shift-clicking the chords works, but obviously that’s a work-around, should be unnecessary. I can’t figure what might be the problem, any ideas?

Mark.
3/ This will be a setting in Studio One where you are somehow saving and recalling instrument settings as track presets. Try in another DAW to eliminate Scaler 3 as the culprit.
4/ Associated with 3?
FYI Muting the Chords to mute MIDI Output is not a workaround. You can mute the MIDI this way or you can even send MIDI Output in Arrange page to none. Muting the channel or Mute Chords in Keys Lock mote relate to the audio.
