Scaler 3 will not switch chords while recording in a DAW, when Keys Lock Chord Mode is set to On

When using the Keys Lock Chord mode, and setting “Keys Lock Chord Mute” to on, alongside “Chord Notes” as the selected Keys Lock mode, Scaler 3 will not change chords when the DAW is set to record mode.

I’ve attached a video of this happening: I set “Keys Lock Chord Mute” to on, make sure Keys Lock is set to Chord Notes, and then try playing some of the upper keys while pressing the chord notes in the bottom register. As you’ll hear, Scaler 3 successfully transmits the chord information, and the chords switch when I press the bottom keys. However, when doing the same while recording in Live, Scalar 3 doesn’t change chords when the lower keys are pressed.

Let me know if anything more is required to explain this issue! Here’s a video of it happening in action: scaler not changing chords.mov - Google Drive

Hi @colorthought I have been able to reproduce this issue but only when Scaler 3 is in DAW sync mode. Could you please try disabling DAW sync mode via right clicking on the play button to see if this resolves your issue?

When manually triggering chords as you are doing, even though they are muted, it is advisable to disable DAW sync mode so Scaler is not trying to play any chords from Section C which may interfere with the bound chords you are triggering.
