The latest version crashes less often but after a chord change and length of ca. 40 sec. It crashes again.
For every hour I use Logic it crashes atleast 20 times. I have to press save after every click in scaler because it crashes after probably two clicks or changes. Its insane but im being patient
That is insane and shouldn’t be happening. Have you tried a clean install with version 1.0.5 and a restart? If it keeps happening send us your crash logs please so we can try and figure out what is happening.
Instructions for a clean Install:
Mac - Clean Install:
- Delete the standalone state file in this folder: /Users/[NAME]/Library/Application Support/Scaler 3.settings
- Delete the personalised files in this folder: /Users/[NAME]/Library/Scaler Music/Scaler 3
- Delete the shared user files in this folder: /Users/Shared/Scaler Music/Scaler 3
- Reinstall.
PC - Clean Install:
- Delete the standalone state file in this folder: C:\Users[NAME]\AppData\RoamingScaler 3.settings
- Delete the personalised files in this folder: C:\ProgramData\Scaler Music\Scaler 3
- Delete the shared user files in this folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Scaler Music\Scaler 3
- Reinstall.
Users may also remove the actual plugin binary files for VST/VST3/AU/AAX. However if you reinstall with your DAWs closed, these should be overwritten when reinstalling.
It still crash…unfortunately
I send you my logic crash report via email
Hello everyone, I’m having some crash issues in Logic as well. I just updated to Logic 11.1.2 on macOS Sequoia 15.4. Logic is giving me this when I try to open a session that has Scaler 3 Control on one virtual instrument track…
It says,
The Audio Unit plug-in "Scaler 3
Control* by “Scaler Music” reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable. Please quit and restart Logic Pro.
Recover or Quit
I had the same problem. I couldn’t open the plugin for the affected track using either “Recover” or “Quit.”
Strangely, it still plays the content in Logic, but it can no longer be edited.
On the other hand, the plugin works normally in another track of the same project.
Hey Jordan,
Thanks for responding. I’ll try your workaround.
Maybe if I recreate the channel and delete the corrupted one it will work.
I tried importing the channel into a fresh template but I still got the same error message.
There’s always a workaround!
Cheers,
LIX
