Scaler 3 Not playing the first chord in a sequence when looping and Loop start/end markers not Synced in instances

My setup:

  • Last Ableton Live 12
  • Several tracks with one Scaler 3 master (leading) and the other two as slaves (following.

The main master sacaler is not playing the first chord of the loop but the others (following the master) are playing fine. I can not change the setup, i need to keep it like that because is a live composing scenario and this is the only way scaler 3 allow me playing several motions (bass, pads,…) live on the keyboard and the make chords deccission on the fly until I decide the chord sequence.

This issue is maybe something that were reported in this post in the general forum Scaler 3 Missing first chord , Is this a new issue? or this issue has never been fixed?

Also is a very inconvenient that the loop position and length are not in sync between scaler instances, the chords progression sync it works between instances, but the Loop “on” or “off” or the markers to indicate the start and end loop are not synced, this means everything i change the loop in the master i have to go for each instance individually and replicate the changes, I think it makes no sense and makes this setup very unconformable to work when the number of following instances grows.

This bug is making Scaler 3 plugin useless in my situation.

Thank you for the helpful post.

I would like to use Scaler3, but I’m currently using Scaler2 because of that issue.

I believe Scaler3 is more useful than Scaler2 for increasing my musical knowledge, and I hope this problem will be resolved soon.

Hi @jagh would you mind please checking which version of Scaler 3 you are using? If you have not updated to Scaler 3.2.2 (Released April 9, 2026) please do so. There have been some major improvements to overall timing and responsiveness in recent updates.

If you do continue to have this issue after updating to version 3.2.2, would you mind please providing some more detail about how you are using Scaler 3 in Ableton Live? There are few variables which could be creating issues depending on your use case.

If you are able to provide a video of the issue occurring that would be very useful to help us understand exactly what is going on, or going wrong.
