Deactivating Scaler 3

Is it possible to deactivate scaler from a machine it is install on to install on another machine?
I know that it comes with 3 activations. If for example I had it installed on a laptop and it no longer works or it is sold, how do you deactivate it from a machine to reset the activation count?

When will this be solved? I’ve just recovered both my studio and laptop systems for a duo of failures, and have been forced to reinstall clean Windows installations on both - identical hardware, except for the laptop which needed a replacement SSD due to a failure. Scaler3 does not recognize these as the same systems, though they are, and there is no way to deactivate the existing activations and reinstall on my laptop. The restored install on my Studio system consumed the “third” activation. Tech support must be busy as they are unable to respond and sort this out for me. I’ve just restored dozens of plugins and software applications, and only Scaler3 lacks a mechanism to do this automatically. As great as Scaler3 is, it is incredibly frustrating when I cannot even use it!

Tech support has increased your available activations, so you should be good to go now. We’re working on a feature that’ll let you manage your own activations, and that’s planned for an upcoming update. In the meantime, if you ever need more activations, just raise a support ticket and we’ll get it sorted for you. Cheers.
