Scaler 3.3.1 Disco version! Scaler 3.3.1 randomly flashing [Video Included]

ISSUE
Scaler 3.3.1 periodically starts flashing of its own accord, or seems to flash when the mouse is moved (but not always). Here it is in action

Trying to rule out some of the more obvious issues:

  • This is the only item that is flashing. In the video you’ll see that I open up a couple of other 3rd party programs and they are fine, while Scaler continues to flash.
  • This happens on both monitors
  • This happens regardless of whether audio is playing
  • This is not happening all the time. The plugin can appear fine for a while, but it does seem to start of its own accord
  • Please note, I am helping to test EQ Pro (beta) and I believe I saw that flashing earlier - could there be a connection?
  • I’ve only had it happen since the 3.3.1 update, but to be fair I only started using Scaler 3 again a couple of days ago, so I can’t be sure it’s specific to this version

So, seems extremely unlikely to be hardware-related or caused by interference. All other software remains unaffected.

EDIT: I can confirm that Scaler EQ Pro is doing the same thing. Once again, I had another plugin on screen (in this case Spire synth), and nothing else was flickering. The flickering stopped before I could record it - the plugin has been behaving for the last 10+ minutes.

Hi @EricJames thanks very much for the report. We have been able to replicate this using Scaler 3.3.1 in Logic Pro and have lodged this to be addressed in a coming update.
