The scenes in scaler 3.2 are a great update. Is there a way to trigger scenes through midi? Background: I would like to sync my Ableton scenes with the scaler scenes.
Hi @rainer One of users suggested assigning keyswitches to Scenes. We think that’s a great idea so will look to do something like that!
Looks like if this was achieved it would return the functionality of triggering patterns in scaler 2 for live performance (?). Have been waiting on this with patient optimism ![]()
That’s coming in a Sketch Page update too!
Fantastic! On arrange page, the idea of triggering a layered scene with different motions and different vsts in a live performance would be next level.
Next level is on our list @irmikeb ! Thanks for the feedback.
As of now, can i trigger playing different scenes through midi or not? I still don’t see how this is possible. Thanks for any advise.
Hi @rainer Nothing implemented since 3.2 in terms of controlling Scenes via MIDI, Keyswitches or Key Commands. Still on our list with no ETA as yet.
Hi team, just want to make sure I haven’t missed anything in 3.3…. I’m still using Scaler 2 for live performance because of the ability to midi trigger scenes/patterns. I missing out on so much stuff in 3.3 I realise but this trigger functionality has been my go to for years on stage.
Hi @irmikeb You can do all of that and much more with Scaler 3.3. Have you watched the video?
Thanks David. Yes I saw that (and was blown away), I may still be missing something though. This seems great for jamming and creating. Is it possible to bind a horizontal pattern/section/scene (with it’s included vertical lanes) so that you can jump to it via midi/keyswitch? Hopefully explaining myself, but I effectively want to move between verse chorus bridge etc.
Hi ! Same here. I want to trigger multiples scenes with one trigger for each scene
