I installed Scaler 3.2 after using Revo Uninstaller to remove the previous Scaler 3, doing the usual rebooting etc…
The Standalone loaded up fine.
Cubase 12 however flagged Scaler 3.2 as a 32bit plugin and put it the blocklist. This is the first time with Scaler 3 that it ended up in the blocklist, the previous versions of Scaler 3 never had any issues. I re-activated Scaler 3 from the blocklist and it loads fine.
Cubase 14 scanned Scaler 3.2 without any issues, and loaded as normal.
Great update. Thank you. Just one question. If I lock the key in scaler and play on my keyboard, does the new midi function will help to record the right notes on the second midi tracks? Any tutorial? I am in Cubase BTW.. thanks
I am sure you are going to add keyboard shortcuts for things like Key Lock on/off voice grouping etc. and things like Tab navigation with use of the up, down, left and right arrows.
Also where possible Midi CC and Host automation, basically anything that eliminates the mouse.
One again great update I know things take time and you are busy on IOS iPad stuff.
I just had a livestream with Scaler 3.2 in Ableton Live 12.2 and it was really great. I usually do my stuff with Scaler in Cubase 14 pro or since recently Cubase 15 pro. No hickups! Everything went well for my German peeps. Version 3.2, its not only stable it is GOAT! Even a Bitwig User asked where to get Scaler!
Now, and thanks to the “3.2 - New Features Overview” tutorial, I can (finally) see the full potential of Scaler 3 and not been afraid of it anymore
I had this routing setup with Scaler 2 having a Synth plugin routed with an instance of Cthulhu routed with an instance of Scaler 2 to make EDM chord progressions with arpeggios (from Cthulhu) but I figured out that it is no longer needed now as I can do everything from the inside of Scaler 3, loading the synth plugin and using the arpeggios (as they are way much better than in Scaler 2).
Just have to focus now and dig more about how to MIDI/Audio capture from Inside the DAW.
No issue within Cubase Pro 14.0.32 and Reaper v7.53 (although it was just a bit clunky at the scan opening with Reaper but ok)
Huge thanks @davide and the team for the great job.
